If we neglect the Gospel, we don't have much to offer the world. Christless preaching takes place every Sunday across America. Mega churches pack stadiums with messages of "Be a Better You," and now small town churches have taken up that mantra as well. Church has become a social network of self-help and recreation, and is no longer equipping believers to carry the gospel to all creation. I like what you're saying; but there's not as many of us as they're used to be.

This seems to be a fairly new site. Stop by my blog at http://clarkbunch.wordpress.com and you might want to read http://internetmonk.com. He's been online for 6 years, and who I depend on for Christ-centered Biblical teaching.

Just a couple of weeks ago I had a post which spoke of a very difficult time in my life where I can to the place I could say "It is Well With My Soul". Here is the link if you want to let me know what you think, the post was called "God's Mercy & Micah's Touch"

When you say,"The obligations of God’s saints today are much greater than the obligations of the saints in Old Testament times, because our privileges and our blessings are greater."

Are you saying that God had no mercy on His people in the O.T.? He called His people to live to a higher standard - to be a light to the Gentiles.(He still calls His Church to do that today.) They were a royal priesthood as well. When they repented, they were forgiven - just like today. Grace has to work with the law, not over or above it. The law tells us how to act and grace gives us the right motivation.

To whom much is given, much is required and we as children of God have been given a gift that cannot be repaid....except with our entire being.

Blessings to you in Christ,
Tim

People today are obsessed with finding their "purpose". Preachers today preach to the multitudes of those who seek financial greatness. It is high time to preach the gospel. There all men find "THE PURPOSE"! Our purpose is simple. We are to glorify God. Within that calling we are to share the message of the gospel: Jesus saves sinners from sin. If a person wonders if he/she is called the statement is correct, if they put their ear to the Bible they will hear the internal call from the conscience to tell sinners headed for hell to repent and turn to God.

It is heart breaking to know so many who are free to worship and serve God do not while so many who are not free to worship and serve God die to do so.
